Hey Pam,
These are some lovely images. I don't know whether you've tried back lighting yet, but this photo of the vase could be spectacular - keep the composition the same. If you are not familiar with the technique, what you want is a light behind the vase, aimed directly at the back of it (not quite towards the camera) but having the actual source of the light invisible. Take two different exposures, one calculated without the backlight on and one with it on (if it's different.
Backlighting "pops" the foreground out from the background (gives more planes to the image) and cause a glow in a translucent subject, and a "halo" for a moire opaque subject.
